Corey J. Hanker, Founder and Managing Partner of Papaya Homes and Papaya Development, boasts a rich background in real estate spanning over 28 years. From his roots on Wall Street to pioneering luxury residential development in Los Angeles, Corey's expertise is unmatched.

In 2011, Corey established Fortus Partners, a prominent real estate investment and development firm in Michigan. Under his leadership, Fortus Partners thrived, deploying $120 million of institutional and private family office funds into strategic acquisitions, renovations, and management initiatives. Corey's close ties with the institutional community, family offices, and foundations enabled him to deliver premium rental portfolios and exceptional yields.

Not content with success in Michigan alone, Corey also co-founded FM Development Group, specializing in luxury residential real estate in Los Angeles' prestigious neighborhoods.

Driven by a mission to create value and impact through real estate, Corey dedicates his time to non-profits, leveraging his expertise to aid in their real estate development endeavors. He is a sought-after speaker at real estate conferences nationwide.

Now, as the driving force behind Papaya Homes, Corey aims to revolutionize the industry by streamlining modular construction processes. His vision is to empower developers to achieve unparalleled efficiency while maintaining top-notch quality and predictable, risk-adjusted outcomes.

Corey's commitment extends beyond business ventures; he serves on the Board of the Men's Guild Children's Hospital Los Angeles and actively supports Junior Achievement, embodying his dedication to community engagement and philanthropy.

Jack De Klyen is a University of Michigan graduate with a degree in Economics and has been with Papaya Development for more than four years. He began with the company as an intern and has since grown into an analyst and project lead, helping source new opportunities and guide projects from early-stage evaluation through coordination and execution.

His work spans market analysis, business development, project strategy, and partner coordination. He also works directly with factory and manufacturing partners, helping align project requirements, production capabilities, pricing, and delivery so opportunities can move from concept toward execution.

Outside of work, Jack is an avid runner and enjoys staying active.
